Your role Reporting to the Managing Director, you'll be responsible for driving on-site operations. This role is perfect for someone with strong technical, communication, and leadership skills. You'll be hands-on and lead by example, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality. Duties include Lead civil construction projects, managing staff, subcontractors, and resources. Forecast labour needs, support recruitment, and develop team capability. Provide coaching, mentoring, and identify future leaders. Promote culture, values, and accountability. Oversee project delivery, coordinate internal teams, and monitor subcontractor performance. Support SWEM development and ensure accurate forecasting. Supervise and support site Supervisors, and assist with crew development. Ensure SHEQ compliance through inspections, risk assessments, reporting, and safety integration. Maintain positive communication and relationships with clients. About You Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Proven project management and supervisory experience in civil construction, including planning, organisation, and time management. In-depth knowledge of civil earthworks, construction, and demolition processes. Ability to build and maintain positive client and subcontractor relationships while ensuring high attention to detail. Relevant qualifications (Civil/Structural Engineering or Project Management), current driver’s licence, White Card, and First Aid certificate – desirable.
